Horton Technique for contemporary dancer

A horton technique inspired workshop. Using the main elements and principles from the technique, it aims to provide tools for contemporary dancers to then use in space and in wider motion. Understanding technique as a tool for alignment, strength and development of the dancer's physical awareness, we will start with a Horton warm-up and build up to travelling in space, turning and jumping using the elements discovered and embracing what a bigger motion brings.

Núria Capella is a dancer based in Ljubljana, who studied at the Anton Bruckner in Linz. She trained before that in modern techniques with a full academic year at the Alvin Ailey School in NY, where she learned in depth Horton and Graham techniques.
