Rosenberg Dance Research Festival #3

This year's edition of the Rosenberg Dance Research Festival #3 focuses on

historical archive materials and material references in contemporary dance.

Lectures, lecture demonstrations and performances will examine, among other

things, how materials are classified in archives and the extent to which material

traces of dancers and choreographers can represent common methodological

points of reference for dance theory and dance practice. Since works rather than

the different practices of dance are at the centre of dance research, the

Rosenberg Dance Research Festival #3 contextualises less considered aspects of

dance making and attempts to discursivise material as the agential potential of

dance.
