Dieser Workshop bietet Einblick in Afro Jazz — ein Stil, der die kraftvolle Energie des afrikanischen Tanzes mit der Musikalität und den Linien des Jazz verbindet. Nach einem Isolations-Warm-up erkunden wir, wie sich der Körper in diesem Stil bewegt: die Qualität der Bewegungen, das Zusammenspiel der Körperteile und die Verbindung zum Rhythmus. Im Anschluss üben wir typische Afro-Jazz-Travelling-Steps und Bodenkombinationen, lernen eine kurze Choreografie und runden den Workshop mit einem kreativen Improvisationsteil ab. Ein spielerischer und energiegeladener Workshop für alle Levels.

This workshop gives insight into Afro Jazz — a style that blends the powerful energy of African dance with the musicality and lines of jazz. We start with an isolation warm-up to discover how the body moves in this style: the quality of movement, the interplay of different body parts, and the connection to rhythm. Next, we practice typical Afro Jazz traveling steps and floor combinations, learn a short choreography together, and finish with a creative improvisation element. A playful and high-energy workshop for all levels.

Aleksandra wuchs in Yoshkar-Ola, Russland, auf und begann bereits im Alter von zweieinhalb Jahren zu tanzen. Mit einem Hintergrund in Jazz, Afro Jazz, Hip-Hop und zeitgenössischem Tanz stand sie früh regelmäßig mit einem Tanzensemble auf der Bühne und nahm an zahlreichen Wettbewerben und Festivals in ganz Russland teil – unter anderem in Moskau, Sankt Petersburg, Kasan und Sotschi.
Mit 16 Jahren begann sie selbst zu unterrichten und gibt ihre Leidenschaft für Tanz seither weiter. Heute lebt und arbeitet sie in Europa, wo sie aktuell Künstliche Intelligenz studiert – und gleichzeitig ihrer Begeisterung für den Tanz treu bleibt.

Aleksandra grew up in Yoshkar-Ola, Russia, and began dancing at the age of two and a half. With a background in jazz, Afro jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary dance, she performed regularly with a dance ensemble from an early age and took part in numerous competitions and festivals across Russia, including in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan, and Sochi.
At the age of 16, she started teaching dance and has been sharing her passion ever since. She is now based in Europe, where she is currently studying artificial intelligence while continuing to pursue her dedication to dance.
