Über den Workshop

Alle Körper sind willkommen. Tangoerfahrung ist nicht erforderlich!
Im queeren Tango lassen wir die stereotypen Rollen hinter uns und spielen damit, in beiden Rollen zu tanzen, oder versuchen sogar, die Rollen im Tanz aufzulösen. Außerdem ist der Tango eher ein Tanz der Improvisation als ein durch Schrittkombinationen strukturierter Tanz.
In diesem Workshop werden wir uns auf die Improvisation konzentrieren. Mit jedem Schritt können wir etwas Neues erfinden. Alles, was wir brauchen, ist, auf unsere Tanzpartner:in und die Musik zu hören. Schritt für Schritt werden wir Lösungen für viele verschiedene Beziehungen und Situationen im Paar finden. Wir lassen uns von der Musik leiten.

All Bodies are welcome. Tangoexperience is not required!
In queer tango, we leave behind stereotypical roles and play with dancing in both roles, or even try to dissolve the roles in dancing. In addition, tango is a dance of improvisation rather than a dance structured through step combinations. We will focus on improvisation. With each step, we are able to invent something new. All we need is to listen to our dance partners and to the music. Step by step, we will find solutions for many different relations and situations in the couple. We let ourselves guide by the music.

Arno Cuca ist ein queerer Tangotänzer und Forscher auf dem Gebiet der Kulturwissenschaften. Arnos Hauptinteresse liegt in der Forschung mit dem Körper, dem Körper als kollektives Repertoire und dem Ort, an dem wir unsere Gesellschaften konstruieren. Arno Cuca ist Doktorand an der Kunstuniversität Linz, organisiert und unterrichtet Queer-Tango-Veranstaltungen und bezeichnet sich selbst als Kulturarbeiter, der sich zwischen Kunst, Wissenschaft und Kultur bewegt.

Arno Cuca is a queer tango dancer and researcher in the field of cultural studies. Their main interest lies in the research with the body, the body as collective repertoire and the place where we construct our societies. Arno Cuca is PhD researcher at the Kunstuniversität Linz, organizes and teaches in Queer Tango events and describes themselves as cultural worker residing right in between the arts, academia and culture.
